Winds will trend stronger areawide on Saturday as an upper level trough moves through the region. Widespread critical fire weather is likely. Locally extreme fire weather conditions are possible over southeast portions of the forecast area, where wind gusts in excess of 50 mph are expected with Haines up to 6. In the wake of the upper level trough on Sunday, winds will trend weaker but remain strong enough critical fire weather conditions across the Central Highlands. The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from 11 AM to 9 PM MDT Saturday. For Sunday, west and northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values from 8 to 11 percent on Saturday and around 12 percent on Sunday. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
