snowfall warning in effect A long period of snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected. Heavy snow will begin this evening over Banff National Park then spread east and south. Areas near the American border will see snow intensify Tuesday afternoon. Snow will taper off by Wednesday morning for most areas. ### Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
