tornado warning in effect At 10:27 p.m. Central Daylight Time Tuesday, Environment Canada has issued a marine tornado warning for Manitoba Lakes Manitoba. Extra care and attention should be exercised in the following marine areas: Lake Winnipeg south basin. Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. Tornadoes are often wrapped in rain and may not be visible. Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 12:01 a.m. CDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain. Thunderstorm Location: Along a north-south line from near Teulon to North Dakota. Motion: Moving east at 50 km/h Locations in the Path: Altona Winnipeg Emerson Selkirk St. Malo Steinbach Beausejour ### Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. Don't drive through flooded roadways.
