yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 4:03 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain. Thunderstorm Location: From Navan to Russell to Mountain. Motion: Moving quickly to the northeast at 65 km/h. Hazards: Up to 90 km/h winds. Heavy rainfall with locally up to 60 mm possible. Locations in the Path: Vars Clarence-Rockland Bourget Winchester Plantagenet Casselman Finch St. Isidore Moose Creek Avonmore ### Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Don't drive through flooded roadways. Avoid low-lying areas. Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
