Additional Information: Isolated severe thunderstorms will form over portions of Saskatchewan west of a stalled weather front by the Manitoba border. Hazards: Tornadoes Hail up to 9 cm in diameter Wind gusts to 120 km/h Local rainfall amounts in excess of 50 mm Timing: This afternoon and this evening. Additional Information: A severe weather outbreak is expected today. Multiple thunderstorms will rapidly develop this afternoon along a stalled front over southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba. Significant severe weather including tornadoes is probable, continuing into the evening hours. ### Significant damage or destruction to infrastructure, homes and the natural environment is possible. Tornado watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes. In the event of a tornado, or if a tornado warning is issued for your area: go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris. Be prepared for severe weather. If you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take cover immediately. When out on the water, be prepared for severe weather. If threatening weather approaches make for shore and take shelter immediately. It is particularly dangerous to be on a small craft on the open water when lightning is occurring.

yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 8:26 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain. A large line of severe thunderstorms has formed along the Saskatchewan/Manitoba border. These thunderstorms are moving north at 40 km/h. ### There is a risk of injury. Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail.

red warning - tornado - in effect At 8:46 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. Tornado Location: About 25 km northeast of Corning Motion: Moving quickly to the northeast at 80 km/h Locations in the Path: Bekevar Kipling Broadview Percival ### This is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Tornadoes can be wrapped in rain and may not be visible. Tornado warnings are issued when a thunderstorm is producing or is likely to produce a tornado. Take cover immediately in a basement, interior room, or a sturdy shelter when threatening weather approaches. If no shelter is available, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris. If you are out on the water when threatening weather approaches, return to shore and seek shelter, if possible. Otherwise, move away from the path of the tornado to escape. Wear your lifejacket, lie face down and protect your head.
