Missouri River at Hermann. Missouri River near Chamois. Missouri River at Jefferson City. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Missouri River at Jefferson City. * WHEN...From late tonight to late Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...At 24.5 feet, The Katy Trail Floods near Rocheport. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 18.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 24.5 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor this developing situation and issue follow up statements as conditions change. Flood Advisory issued April 29 at 3:17AM CDT until April 29 at 8:45AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central Missouri, including the following county, Boone. * WHEN...Until 845 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 314 AM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the advisory area. This will cause small stream flooding. - Heavy rain has ended, however it will likely take several hours for water on small creeks and streams to recede. Continue to obey all road closure signs and do not drive into areas where water covers the roadway, especially in low water crossings which may have washed out. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbia, Centralia, Ashland, Columbia Regional Airport, Hallsville, Sturgeon, Midway, Murry, Harrisburg, Hartsburg, Lupus, McBaine and Wilton. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
