Flood Advisory issued July 15 at 7:26PM MDT until July 15 at 10:30PM MDT by NWS Billings MT * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northwestern Big Horn County in south central Montana... * WHEN...Until 1030 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 724 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Bighorn River between St. Xavier and Hardin. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Northwestern Big Horn County. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
